Vote?

In our last Presidential Election about 1/3 voted for Trump, about 1/3 for Harris and 1/3 decided to not vote. One of the most basic tenets of our US. Constitution was ” Rule by the Majority while protecting the Rights of the Minority”. Now, no matter what the outcome would have been our nation would be ruled by a minority. A minority that would decide which rights to protect. Instead of protecting us from the rule of tyranny by the majority we now face tyranny by the minority.

Apparently 1/3 of American voters did not like what they saw in either candidate. Should we return to Medieval Period where royalty and serfdom was the rule?

That same 1/3 of the U.S. now demands the rest of the world recognize the Gulf of America, discarding the name, Gulf of Mexico.

Why and how did we reach this point?

Even worse, is when religion takes the lead in tyranny claiming some “divine right to rule as they see fit and we can obey as they see fit”. That lead to the Religious Wars of Europe, the Spanish Inquisition and eventually the Awakening. How many lives and personal treasure and rights do we wish to sacrifice to become someone’s serf?

Is our current two party system working? Is it too divisive and tribal employing a zero-sum mindset to our nation and culture?

These questions must be answered if we are to continue as a people and nation. Your input is requested. Thank you.
